Whether you are looking for a traditional Lake District cottage or an exclusive Cumbrian barn conversion, Goosemire Cottages offers a choice of properties to help cater to your every need, with our beautiful Lake District and Eden Valley holiday properties ranging in size from one to three bedrooms sleeping from one to six guests.
With several companies offering holiday cottages in the Lake District, you probably want to know what we do differently for our discerning guests. Well in these days of hidden charges Goosemire Cottages offer excellent value for money as we do not charge additional booking fees or fees for bed linen or pets. We pride ourselves on our transparency and no hidden charges.
The Lake District is often described as the adventure capital of the UK and with good reason. If you want to experience the natural “great outdoors” environment then there is no finer place to be. From abseiling to zorbing, walking to water sports, quad bikes to tree top adventure courses, there really is something for everyone.
The Old Barn in Askham which is between Ullswater and Haweswater will allow pets and there is no extra charge. There are dog friendly walks right from your doorstep either on the quiet country lanes or footpaths.
All our Lake District cottages and barn conversions allow short breaks all year round so there is no need to leave it until last minute to book. You can also arrive and check out any day of the week, we try to be as flexible as possible for guests.
All the properties offer Free WiFi, then again you may prefer not to have access to WiFi so you can relax and switch off from the modern age at least for a few days, safe in the knowledge the office cannot contact you.
