BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Goosemire Cottages acts solely as a booking agent on behalf of both owner and holidaymaker. Once a booking is confirmed a contract is thus formed between the latter two parties, and you are then responsible for the full rental.

Contract: When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.

Care of the property: A condition of acceptance of any booking is that the holidaymaker will take good care of the property and its contents, and that it is left in a truly clean and tidy state as it will have been found. The care is to include all furnishings, utensils, crockery and linen and though you might not be charged for minor breakages, you are responsible for all damage or breakages.

Booking:  All reservations are contractually binding when made whether by telephone, in writing or by any other means. We are always pleased to discuss any requirements you may have, and assist you in planning your holiday.

Number of persons:  The number of persons using the holiday property is not to exceed the maximum number stated on the website. The agent or owner reserve the right not to accept a booking or refuse entry if any of the booking conditions are not met.

Your holiday: Holidays are from 4pm on arrival day until 10 am on departure day. We will try to be flexible with these times where, for example, you have young children and babies. However this is subject to scheduling and availability. Please discuss your requirements with us prior to your stay.

Pets: Pets are welcome in some of our properties and these are indicated in the details. However, it is understood that pets are not allowed on any beds and chairs, and must not be left unattended at any time in the property (cats must be left in their pet carrier/cage when you are not in the cottage). On departure there must be no evidence of the pet either inside the property or outside in the garden. There should be no nuisance and annoyance to the neighbours.

Booking Cancellation:  If you are compelled to cancel your holiday we will endeavour to re-let the accommodation and if successful you will only forfeit your deposit, otherwise the full amount is payable by you.

We strongly recommend that holiday guests arrange their own travel and accommodation insurance.

Alternative Booking: If for any reason the property is not available or has been rendered unsuitable for holiday letting (e.g. fire damage) on the date booked, all rent and charges paid by the holidaymaker will be refunded in full but there shall be no further claim against the agent or owners.

Access:  The property owner or his/her representative shall be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during your stay.

Complaints:  Once a holidaymaker has returned home it is difficult for Goosemire Cottages to investigate complaints of any nature. Regrettably, therefore, Goosemire Cottages are unable to accept claims once a holiday has been completed. It is possible that, during your holiday, something could go wrong. Should this happen, in the first instance, please contact the owner/caretaker of your property during your stay. Should the matter remain unresolved then please contact Goosemire Cottages immediately and we will endeavour to settle the issue.

Website Information: We have done our best to ensure that the information given on the website is accurate, and is kept upto date with information provided by the cottage owners. We cannot accept liability for a breakdown of any facility at the holiday property which is beyond our reasonable control (e.g. breakdown of electrical equipment or a problem with plumbing) or from the negligence of the owner resulting in loss injury or accident.

Limitations of liability:  The use of holiday accommodation and any facilities is entirely at the holidaymaker’s own risk and no liability is accepted for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained during the holiday to any member of the party, or any car and its contents or any possessions of the holiday maker.
